Cracks in wall, slide corners

Has anyone notice small cracks in corners of slides? I just noticed crack about 2 and 1/2 inches long in front bottom corner of bedroom slide, is this normal? I do not believe it is, anyone else with same problem?

trying to get orientated --
I see the seal,
I assume that's on the inside edge of the exterior panel ????
you took the picture with your back against the rv ?

Not normal -- but not too bad yet...
looks like it's binding when closed in some way?
because that doesn't look like a weight bearing corner to me...

True, no weight barring, it's early, we are replacing tounge for one with donut and hope to stop spreading. Talked to rep about visit to company for repairs, not to happy with responds, "long waiting time". Since I did work in fiberglass shop, I offered to drill stop hole, responds from support, " no big deal, they all do that", well, I can tell you that we will be going back Indiana and face company for all repairs. Wish me luck!

Call again and ask to speak to Randy, he's Crossroads Service manager or Ron Howard. Both very good guys and very helpful. They can be reached at 1-260-593-3850.

When mine was at the service center they cut mine and I believe all of the new trailers have a seam there.

They open up at 0700 hours and close at 1600 Central Time. They are normally backed up about two months so plan accordingly.

Sorry...right now my trailer is still at the service center. As soon as I get it back I'll get you a picture. I should have it back by the end of the month.

why is yours at the service center, Dave? I think yours may be the one they pulled out to get ours in... out of the Polar Vortex. Was yours there before the week of Jan 6?

Yep...it's been there since the first week of December. I told them it was ok to put others in front of mine since I wasn't using it anyway. They called last week and said that they would have her ready to go by the end of the month. I'm land locked anyway waiting for my grandson to be born.

The repairs this time included the suspension, some water penetration in the slide and some misc. little things. They always take good care of me.

stress cracks, we have had 4. We own a 2012 36FL They can be fixed. I would report them to Redwood as they are a structural issue.

We have the 36RL and ours cracked in same place but our crack went straight down from corner of bedroom slide. They installed a H clip. Said it was a stress fracture and a lot of them do this. Haven't had anymore problems since.

This thread "Cracks in wall, Slide Corners" was started in July 2012. Last weekend, I noticed a similar two inch crack in the lower left corner on the body under the bedroom slide of my 36RL. Dave and several others mentioned they had the same issue. Responses from others range from actually cutting the corner to adding an 'H' clip to help with the stress. Unfortunately, my warranty has expired. What is the solution to keep this from getting worse over time?

crack

I installed new tonge, (Trailair), to help with crack, hope it helps. When it comes to Redwood support it is the worst i have ever run into. After calling company and talking to customer service and getting patted on shoulder with exponation that ALL trailers crack like that, and more or less being told "dont bother us", I tried to set an appointment for three year service and repair, usual "we will call you" and that was last I have heard. Could anyone suggest repair station on west coast, planning to head on to New Mexico and Colorado this summer, Thank you for any help.
