2012 Redwood Model 36RL

Does anyone know for sure what the original Redwood Factory brochure length measurement was based upon? My 2012 36RL length measurement was listed as 38 feet 11 inches.

I had a question about the actual length recently from an interested buyer because they had a storage building maximum internal length of 40 feet. So, I projected plum lines onto the concrete floor from the nose of the coach and the ladder on the rear of the coach. I measured the actual length of the coach to be 40 feet 8 inches. That is 1 foot 9 inches different from the brochure advertised length.

I am guessing the brochure advertised length must be a coach internal measurement. Does anyone know?

Guy, RW measures from the King Pin back. I had the drawing for a 2012 36RL and per the original drawing the tip to tail length was 40' 4", and I'm pretty sure that does not include the ladder.
Our current 39MB is listed at 41' 8" Yet measures closer to 43' overall.

Ah, so likely Redwood's measurement is from king pin to rear bumper.

I measured from nose to ladder to get the 40' 8". I will have to double check the difference from ladder to bumper, and nose to king pin. My original Redwood Brochure listed the 2012 36RL as 38' 11" which is 1' 9" difference.

My potential buyer had a maximum of 40' storage building capacity, so, knowing the actual length of the coach is important.

I am original 2012 owner, still have brochure. Says RW36RL Ext. Length* 38' 11" *Overall length defined as tow point King Pin for firth wheel to rear bumper. Does not include ladder. Page 9 has all details for 7 models of this year.
