31SL Slide Operation
When opening the main slide-outs on our 2017 31SL, the kitchen slide opens first followed by the dining slide. We don’t have clearance to open the kitchen slide all the way in our storage location, but do have clearance to open the dining slide. So what I want to do is open the dining slide without fully opening the kitchen slide. My speculation is that both of these slides are on the same hydraulic circuit, and that the kitchen slide moves first simply because of actuator loading etc. Does anyone know if that is correct or have schematics of the hydraulic systems? If I physically restrict the kitchen slide, will it force the dining slide to go ahead and open?

There should be two valves in the front compartment near the hydraulic pump. One for each of those main slides. If you're lucky the one on the outside (street side) should be for the street side slide and the inboard valve for the curb side slide.
You may have to just bump the slide switch to take some of the pressure off the valve to make it easier to turn.

In the battery compartment you will see the hydraulic manifold with thumb wheel to close the valve. Mine are backwards where the left side controls the right slide. Close the valve to the slide you do not want to move.
I think there is a trick to taking some pressure off because the wheels are hard to turn. Someone posted that somewhere but I do not remember.
Looks like I posted at the same time as mhs

Should look like this.
Here is a photo of the valves.

The previous answers should have you fixed up. I use the valves frequently to only open the slides enough to get into the fridge or living center, especially when the RW is in it's garage.

Thanks everyone! That's exactly what I needed to know. Going to check it out tomorrow.

Thanks everyone for your help. Went out to the RW today, and the isolation valves worked exactly as described. I closed the kitchen side valve (where I don't have clearance to fully open the slide), and open the dining slide only. I then opened the kitchen valve to open the kitchen slide only as far as I needed. Thanks again!
