A couple of newbie questions

For those of you that have been on the roof ---

What color is it ?
While we ordered the black and maroon,
was wondering if the top was painted and what color ? White for cooler or black to match ?!?

will the paint be as much of a concern/maintenance issue in the southern sun as say an unpainted one ? Is it automotive paint ?

do most of you get vent covers in black or white ?

still awaiting our delivery and have some time to 'adjust'

The color of the roof is white. Just the outside edge is painted to match the paint.

The Paint is a base/clear automotive type paint. It should not need much maintenance. Most cars do not get regular waxing and look good years after being painted. My work car is a 17 year old Taurus, has never been waxed, get washed infrequently, and still looks very good. Waxing will help it look sharper.

I have only the standard vent covers.

The stars on the logon name do reflect number of posts. I don't know at what number of posts the stars increase.

That's funny, I had the same questions.I got home and started wondering if the whole roof was black and went back the next day to find it is bright white.

The ACs are black, and we found a black dish.I think maxxair has black covers it you like those.

AA, then we can't camp too close together - think too much alike and we'd repel each other

I did put black covers on the dealers 'We owe' list along with the elec cord reel and other stuff !

and you KNOW I have to ask - what dish ?

You already know I wax mine every 3 months. I'm in the south too and I go to the coast a lot. Pensacola to Destin is my second home. The Redwood needs protection from sun and saltwater.

We got this dish (SK-1000)for Dish. I don't know if they have a Direct TV in black.

I put white covers on the vents to match the roof but I think they would look better if they were black.

Will the 12 volt optima batteries work with the charging system of the Redwood 5th wheel? Optima dealers and Internet says they have to have their own special charger. When you connect two batteries up will the unit's charging system charge both batteries at the same time? Thanks lcary
