AccuSlide cable system
I looks like I need to replace the cables on my bedroom system, has anyone here done this task yet? It looks like the only way to access is to completely dismantle the bed framing??
At that, it may be difficult to access the system still?

I talked to a TECH that is doing the slide cables on a friend of mine Fusion toy hauler. He said its not that bad IF the cable isn't broken. He uses the old cable to run the new cable threw the pulleys. He was going to do the cables in the owners driveway as a side project off book .

Thanks Mark,
I found 2 folks with great reviews close to me that will do mobile...
#1 is $150 service call and $130 per hr
#2 is flat $110 per hr with no travel time or service call $$
Going with #2 as he said he would verify tomorrow what day next week he can make it to me.
I was donna tackle it myself but after seeing where it is located, that deterred me from wanting to tackle it...
I purchased 6 cable repair kits at $21.00 each to have on hand if he needs to replace any or most.. I have 3 or 4 I believe that are just fine, the other few are questionable from what I can see.

Cable Repair
I had to repair mine twice in two years. The second time, I spent a little time looking why it was happening. I found the cable was rubbing on the metal plate where it exits the RV, outside. You can adjust the plate and in my case used a dremel to make the hole bigger.

Thanks Scott,
Tore my bed frame out and gained access to the motor and gear works...
I cannot figure out what is what and or why it happened?? I ran it in and out several times with no issues?
I THINK I will keep my appointment on Tuesday and have the tech look at it, hopefully he can look at it and say " I know what is happening" and correct it.
Joe

I had to replace mine, did it myself. My pulley system on the bottom left literally tore away from the framing, thus destroying the cable. Had to rebuild it. I was able to gain access to the pulley system and the motor assembly by taking out the storage below the bed. Note to file, the system is not meant to handle a lot of weight in the storage area. A tremendous amount of stress is put on the pulley system if you put a lot of heavy stuff in the underneath storage area.

That could be my problem, after I took delivery, I had a tilting bedframe installed on top of the slide. The framing of that is all one and 1-1/2 x 2 rectangular tubing welded to a frame. It has a lot of extra weight to the point where I cannot lift the bed myself to get to the storage..
