On my 36RL, those are tank vents if I'm picturing what you are saying. The attic vents are spaced evenly down the center of the roof. I think I have a picture here (these had to do with mounting antenna, but it shows a vent between the ACs)

I'll be darned. I wonder if the technology changed to a different method. Hopefully someone with a newer unit will chime in. I would like to say I have 3, but it may only be 2. Been a while since I was up there.

My 2012 36RL only has one between the bedroom and bath vents. Then I have the two vents by the bath skylight.

Our 2014 38FL has two attic vents

Pictures taken during our Roof replacement in Texas (Vents are the round mushrooms in the center of the roof)

Front Roof Vent

Rear Roof Vent (Centered between the two Max Air Vents and next to the smaller plumbing vent)

Don't try to carry the snow shovel up the ladder. Have the DW hand it to you

No shovel needed... With all that snow we got, the roof was bone dry because of the high winds....

Just from what I can see in your pic, you don't look to have attic vents, as the older units had the front one just a couple of feet behind the front cap.

Just was able to scope out my roof again.... All I have up there are the vent caps for the plumbing... No attic vents , and that's on an early 2016 so I wonder if in fact they redesigned the way they vent????

Christian!

What changed in the design of Redwood that eliminated our attic space vents through the roof? They don't seem to be installed on the new units.

2012 Brochure
Roof Construction: 5’’ Stamped Steel Roof
Trusses • Double Truss at each A/C • 16’’ On
Center • 3/8’’ Roof Decking • Full Walk-On Roof
• 3” Radius Metal Roof Cap • 2 Attic Vents • One
Piece Alpha Ply Roof Material

Was it determined they aren't needed anymore? Or is there a new way to ventilate the attic?
