Our hydraulic jacks pop and shake at night, and is getting worse, is anyone else having or had these issues? Our coach is a 2013 40KB.

Thanks,
Monty

Shake?

There is an issue with popping on the Lippert system, and there is a tech report on how to fix that. It's under warranty.

Look at the "6 point leveling popping fix" posted on page 4. I have not done this yet but according to Lippert, this is the recommended fix. This has been an issue with other manufacturers as well, not just Redwood.

When we were at the factory service center they did the fix to ours. Removed the fluid they needed to and added the Anti stiction fluid from Caterpillar. We've used the coach a couple of times since and it has only popped once. I'm thinking after a few more cycles it'll be cured.

Did yours pop a lot all the time or just during extreme temp changes?

Ours was very infrequent and usually with a pretty large temp difference

When we first go ours, it seemed like the leveling system popped quite often and was fairly loud. Over time and usage, it seemed like it popped less and not as loud. We have had ours for a little over a year, and I can't remember the last time I heard it pop. Originally it seemed like temperature change had a lot to do with it. If I ever have to add fluid, I would probably use the fluid that is suppose to fix the problem, but until then I don't think I'm going to worry about it.

I know that in prior discussions there was debate whether the older steel tubes caused less of a problem than the newer aluminum tubes due to temp changes and the response from the material they were made of. Since you own a 2012 are your down tubes black steel or the silver aluminum tubes?

If you were ever around heavy equipment with hydraulics you would notice the popping also, temperature variances play abig part in the noises. As long as your coach is not dropping/moving significantly it is normal. Lipperts fix is to add anti foaming oil and it helps greatly, but probably will not stop it totally. Unlevel/unstable ground seems to affect it also, use blocks under jacks so not extended as far on these surfaces.

Our 2012 36RL has black jack tubes but I have no idea what the material is.
