Awning ripped from RV when extending

Extended the awning over the living room this morning at 7am and it *ripped* away from the RW!

Upon closer inspection it appears there are 2 screws helping to secure this - one on each end. I'm stunned.

I'm not able to get the awning back in. Any suggestions?

Hopefully the mobile RV repair guy can help.

Now....where did I put that coffee?

The awning fabric should have a plastic cord sewn into it on either end which slides into grooves on the coach & the awning tube, the 2 screws are just to keep each end centered in place. You would have to slide the fabric into each groove simultaneously a little at a time, definitely a 2-3 person job.

Oh man - somehow that corded edge came out of the rail it looks like, or is the rail ripped off? I can't tell.

You should be able to manually push in the arms pretty easily and tie them shut.

I didn't see a "corded edge" - I need to climb up to the roof and look closer.

The corded edge will be on the fabric unless it tore off & still in the groove, had to tell from photo.
