Awning Support

Curious to know if anyone has installed the Carefree Automatic Awning Support/In-transit Awning Cradle - Part #902800 - on their Redwood? I'm a bit concerned about how our large, 18ft awning will hold-up over time - bouncing down the road. If you have, was it easy to install and does it work well?

I couldn't find any threads on it here. Looks like the ratings on Amazon are good...??

I put one of those on a TT for an A&E that was already drooping and it did the trick supporting the tube.

As for the Carefree - I don't think its an issue at 18'. I have 22' and it doesn't have anything.
