RifRaff, what model and year of Redwood do you have? They used to have problems such as you are describing with the hydraulics, but they came up with a fix.

If you're running the OEM Marathons you're lucky you didn't blow all 4 tires at that speed and temperature. I personally wouldn't pull one of these unit off a dealers lot with the E rated Marathons on it.

I agree on the E rated tires. As to the warranty on the tires, several years ago I blew a Goodyear tire that also did damage to the trailer. Took it to a Goodyear dealer and said I wanted to file a claim. They took the tire and info and sent it into the company. They approved the claim, prorated the tire, and paid for the camper repair. I feel that Goodyear treated me fairly, which made a bad situation easier to handle.

I am shocked that Goodyear would not cover the failure.

Personally, I would cut your loss and dump those tires for the 14-ply G rated or higher. It's only a matter of moments before those other 2 will let go.

Agree completely. I found a set of almost new Goodyear G614's with rims on the Montana forum, with an added bonus that they were local.

Sold the Marathons on Craigslist. Net cost was $300, which compared very favourably to the quote I received for new tires/rims. Took a few weeks, but well worth it.
