Blu ray replacement;

Has anyone else replaced their RCA Blu Ray? Ours quit sometime back and we’d like to replace it but continue to use our built in surround sound system? Any suggestions or information would be greatly appreciated. We did purchase a system back in December but it didn’t fit into the space where the original Blu Ray was, I don’t want to do any cabinet modifications.

The RCA units didn't seem to hold up well and RW then switched to an LG system. No they have dropped the whole Home Theater and gone to a Sound Bar for the TV and a really cheap little BluRay player, at least that's the setup in our '16.
To replace what you have, I would check out places like Best Buy or maybe even Wally World for a small Home Theater system.

Our LG home theater receiver in the Redwood has multi functions including AM/FM radio, blue ray dvd, Portable (iPod), etc. I searched for another similar unit for home and never found just the receiver. It seems that you have to purchase the "system" including the speakers and subwoofer, then connect to the speakers already in your Redwood (storing or discarding the new speakers).
