Bubbles in toilet

Have a 2015 38GK fifth wheel. When flushing toilet, it will bubble out from black tank while dumping. Just started recently, dumped tank (do it once a week) and used the tank flush till water runs clear. Tried back flushing with no results. Doesn't have a vent on top of RV for the toilet. Any Ideas how to remedy this??

It has to have a vent to the roof either directly from the toilet or the tank or you'd of noticed flushing problems before now.

Have vent over bathroom sink (opposite side of toilet) and one near the shower (opposite side of rv fm toilet). Ran hose down vent over bathroom sink but didn't go far. Didn't try the one by the shower.

RVIA code allows them to combine vents as long as they meet certain criteria. The wye would be three to four feet down from the roof. So about the only option you have is to use a snake to try to go down one side or the other and try to move the blockage.

Or, you can do what I did. I talked with the factory and told them that just because code allows it, doesn’t mean it is the right way to do it. So my 2018 is in the shop as we speak, having the vents separated so that there is a dedicated vent for each tank, as there should be.

bubbles

I have the same unit and get the same problem once in awhile after using it for say 5-6 days . I feel the way the discharge drain enters the tank allows for build up and the internal sprayer is pointed in the wrong direction.
Using this clears it up..
http://www.valterra.com/product-cate...ble-tank-wand/
this is what I do.
with the black valve open
put the wand into the toilet all the way into the tank. let it run...
go outside and turn on the internal sprayer also....let it run...
When it now looks clear close the valve for 3 1/2 minutes then open
Do this 3-4 times and I assure you no more bubbles

Not sure if it's the same but we had "burping" while flushing, we were parked in one site for 3 months. I suspected a solids build up, when we moved I dumped some ice cubes (30 or so) into the tank through the toilet, when we got to the next site and dumped there was almost enough solids coming through the drain pipe to clog it.

Other symptom was increase in odours.

30 ice cubes worked that well? I've tried 30 lbs & didn't do anything but make poo on the rocks.
Sounds like you need to use more water when flushing & NEVER EVER leave the black valve open while parked for extended periods.

I usually flush with hot water. The source is the outside faucet in the convenience center. I connect the blue hose to the flusher connection and leave it connected. It’s amazing hot much more waste flushes out with hot water.

I do the same as Snowbirds and we also dump 2 three gallon buckets of hot water with some Mr Clean and cheap dish soap in them. Usually after second partial fill and dump with the tank rinse I've got pretty clean and solid free water coming ou. Also, as Danny said, use about three times more water than you think is needed.
