When we were looking at the Redwood and others I always felt like the others (excel, Montana, etc) were still very dated and not keeping current with the times. I mean, you don't go into new houses and find oak cabinets and dated couches that are fabric etc.

We looked at many brands too. When we first walked in the Redwood, we were "Dazzled" and that didn't happen in any of the other brands. With them it was more, "Well, this is nice and we could make this work." The Redwood was just "YES!" So far, we feel the same way, every single day.

I am in my second year of living full time in my Redwood and besides having the toilet replaced last I have had zero problems. This was such a big step up from the 26 foot TT. It really feels like home, best of all we have enough that my wife can stay with me when she comes to visit.
Yes if I were to purchase another unit I definitely would purchase another Redwood. I have seen several other nice units right now I have a beautiful Montana park two lots down. While deciding to purchase I looked hard at the spec's. I went with Redwood for the insulation and the windows. I never know where I will sent during the winter and having a rig I can warm in was the most important factor. Having all the other creature features is just a big plus.
I also really feel for all of you who have had issues with your rig, the first year in my TT I had nothing but problems so I know how frustrating it can be.

We have been a Lazy Days in Tampa moving from our old 5th Wheel into our new Redwood 38FL.
Finally everything is moved into our new home, we have a couple of minor items to get taken care of tomorrow morning and then we will head back to our homebase in Tallahassee FL for a week or two before heading to Ft Myers to work with a new Tech.
We are still learning all the new systems but so far everything is going well.
Family are friends back it Tallahassee are waiting to see our new home.

I would definitely look to Redwood for another. We had two Montana's before this.
It is a very competitive market however, and Montana is changing as fast as Redwood. I try to keep my eyes wide open in any new purchase.

There are several items Redwood needs to address before I would actually jump on one again. The battery needs to be relocated. The whole house filter needs to be relocated, and they need individual slide switches instead of a one does all! These would not totally cause me to buy a different brand but with those corrections I feel Redwood would be number 1 in their price point! Like Atom Ant, I try to keep up with the many changes manufacturers are making to get the best bang and quality for my buck.

We did a lot of research before buying and thought the RW was right up there , but after using ours for a year we definitly will not buy another. The issues thet we have had our dealer has been great to work with and has taken care of everything with out us ever having to call RW as many of the forum members have had to do. We will continue to use ours until we decide on floor plan ect. from SOB ( we have pretty much narrowed it down but still have a few things to decide on). We don't fulltime but do use ours in more extreme conditions than most full timers since we don't go south in the winter and have found and corrected issues that only appear at temps that most people don't still use their units at. Not saying that its not a nice rig, it's just not giving us that warm fuzzy feeling.
