Cable and off air

2020 3901WB
I would have assumed that when a park supplied cable system is connected to the "cable TV" connector on the patch panel that the off air and cable signals are merged. I dont find thats the case. Anyone else find this to be true? I must connect the park cable directly to the TV. Otherwise the tv doesn't see the cable stations when doing a channel search.
Bottom line anyway to get off air AND cable?

Hi Andy
In my 2018, the answer is no...And I suspect for your unit as well.. The reason you cant get any cable channels is that you must turn the amplifier off..In our unit it's in our bedroom closet and you can see it has a green light when on...If you turn it off, you will then be able to run the channel finder on your tv.. If you ant to run digital channels off your antenna , you simply turn on the amplifier and rerun channel search... To run both , you would need a second input into your tv ..

we found the same thing, but I would have to relearn the channels (about a 3`4 min process) each time I switched.

One of the great features of Digital TV NOT
Remember the old days of analog TV, might not get a perfect picture, but you could get by for the weekend with a snowy picture. Now you either have a picture or you don't.
