Closet Rods

Our clothes on hangers protrude making it difficult to close the closet doors. my question is can I move the rod back 2 inches? It appears there is room but concerned about support in the cedar. Thanks..... Ian

Moved mine back the width of the center supports (moved the front screw to the back hole) & works great, no more hangars sticking out the doors. By the way there is not one ounce of cedar in there, just looks like it!!

We put one of those cedar closet planks in there just to help with the genuine artificial cedar scent.

We HAD to move ours back when the whole rod fell while on vacation

I installed 2x2's on the ends to the floor to give it more support so it wouldn't happen again ....
