Hi, All,

Would y'all know....is it okay to put Drano or Liquid Plumber down the kitchen and bathroom sink of a Redwood?

I use "Grey Water Odor Control" in the sinks...but wondering about Drano. (I just love that gurgly-gurgly sound it makes in the pipes.)

I searched, but am surprised not to find this topic.

Thank you!

Robt.

Are you plugged? Ì don't think Drano would be very healthy for the drain valve.

No way!!!! Every plumber I ever spoke with advised not to use it ifyou haveplastic piping. That's what they use in RW's. The tanks and tank valves would seem to be even more susceptible to damage than plastic piping. I'd try one of those "snakes" that rotate or baking soda and boiling water. If neither of those works I would think the next step would be to take the trap apart. Just my opinion.

Baking soda and white vinegar should free up drains, and is harmless.
