Electric Drum Brake Adjustments
For those of you who still have electric drum brakes and they are not grabbing like they did in the beginning, you may want to manually adjust your brakes. In fact Lippert states you should adjust them every 3000 miles or 3 months. I'm not 100% certain the standard electric Lippert drum brakes are self adjusting.
Here is a link to the Lippert manual adjusting procedures for their electric drum brakes:

I believe all Redwoods with electric brakes are self-adjusting. The adjusters worked fine on our 2012 36FL; however, I can't say that for the grease seals. I lost braking efficiency due to grease covering everything inside the hub.

Mine aren't & weren't when I replaced all 4 due to cheapo grease seals. I adjust them a couple times a year, annually when packing bearings & 1-2 during the year when I think about it.

If the brochure says so, maybe someone missed mine. Oh no couldn't have with their strict QC measures. Yea! Mine are self adjusting, I do it myself.

Isn't that what they mean by "Self Adjusting", that you adjust them yourself??

Hey Danny........I don't think I have "self adjusted" brakes on any thing since my '53 Chevy Bel Air! Boy, those were the days!!
