I have been able to get extra keys made for all of my outside access doors. However I have not been able to find anyone that can copy the Redwood entry door key. Has anyone had any luck finding blanks. And if so where did you get them.

Thanks

Rick

You can try RVLock.com. The keys are precut. All you need to do is give them the numbers on your key. The site also has the instructions to reprogram the key fobs and the keyless entry systems.

Did everyone get a key fob or was that additional. It was not anything we were told about. Didn't know they even existed until a RW here told us they had one.

Last year we dealt with the owner of RVlock.com concerning replacement of our door lock and touchpad. He sent me a new door lock and touch pad and included 2 fobs for my inconvenience. They work great. You can program them to open both doors on our 36FL at the same time. Recommend you get a couple as they are really handy

Rick,

Here is the lock manufacturer's website,http://www.bauerproducts.com/replace...egory=c1638348. Look at the number on your key, you can order extra keys from this link.

When we took our Redwood in for some warranty work, we ask about replacement keys. The dealer had packs of blank keys. He gave us directions to the locksmith they use and he made us 2 more sets, making 4 total. Dealers name is Madison RV in Madison, Alabama.

Glad to know about the key fob.

If you have a Bauer Keyless entry just go to Bauer's website and order the replacement key using the number on the original. They come already cut for approximately $3

We got locked out recently and the keypad would not work, think my dealer screwed this up. Had to call a locksmith to gain entrywent back to his shop and had extra keys made that work great. When i get back to Fl the dealer and i will get this problem worked out.

If you have the RV lock keypad, get the remote FOB. Even when our keypad failed, the FOB still works. Rvlock replaced my keypad no questions asked. Our issue with the keypad appears to be the battery or something. A couple taps on the keypad and it works again for a bit. This time I put some electric grease on the battery tray when I installed the new one. We'll see if it helps.

We don't think ours WORKS
the Bauer NE with the touchpad built into the handle does not respond...
and the door is very VERY, VERY! hard to pull the handle inside and out !

Johnboy,
You may need to check the strike plate alignment. Mine was too low and the latch was hitting it. Also had to adjust it side to side. Now we don't have to slam the door with all our might. I had the same problem with my Open Range when it was new. So far our keypad works fine Edited by: Willranless

THANKS Willranless ! Will tell the dealer to do that b4 I pick it up... they've only had it a month for the pdi

We too had an open range 33' TT but only for a month before it wore out our 2005 Ford Excursion and Momma wanted a 5th wheel !!

And thanks to others for reminding me to order spare keys --- $14 will spent - although the ch751 from my last 3 rv's would work !!!
