Extended Service Plan

Looking for recommendations. I’ve received a quote from Good Sam, but I want to hear from others on their experience.

I have thought about a extended warranty many times but instead I took the money that they would have charged and put it in our savings account and after 4 years it is still there and if needed is available. This plan has worked well for us may not be for everyone. If repairs are needed I don't have to submit for approval I get to make the decision myself.

We also do the same. We had an extended on our last MH and never used it.
I figured when our 2 year RW warrantee was up most the bugs are worked out.
There isn't one particular item in the RW that we could not afford to replace so we decided not to purchase an extended. If it's something major it would most likely involve my normal RV insurance policy.

I did the GS direct warranty on my Redwood for a while (not the Dealer version). I never used it but it had a feature that I could raise the deductible way up during the winter to bring the monthly price down, then drop the deductible back down during the summer. I tried it once and they started inventing new rules like there was a waiting period of 30 days after I lowered the deductible in case I was trying to cheat, so I just dropped it.
