Exterior trim screws

Has anyone used screws to reattach the exterior trim where its separated from the exterior? If so are there any issues installing or a certain size that works best? The mfg. states the walls are 2" thick so I'm thinking a #8 x 1" screw should work. I've found these which match the trim molding color.

You could paint almost any screw to match the color needed. Depending on the application you may need a self tapping type of screw versus the wood type you are showing. Some things are attached in front of an aluminum tube in a sidewall or other locations. Make sure you use the correct type screw for the application.
