failed slide hose on 2015 31sl

The main slide hydraulic hose on my 31sl failed where it passes through the bulkhead behind the generator. The hose failed because it was rubbing against the bulkhead opening. Can this hose be spliced or does it have to be replaced? If it has to be replaced, does anyone have any experience doing this?

I would imagine that you could get a hydraulic hose coupling that is Crip on for both side assuming you have a 2' of hose available to get a hand press into the location. I would google mobile hydronic hose repair and ask if they have to remove the hose completely.

Thanks for the response. I do not have 2 feet on the end that goes through the bulkhead. I should be able to drop the front of the bottom cover and get access to a little more line that way. I will contact the hose repair people and see if they can repair the Lippert hose.

I had a hose that blew out because it was facing a sheet metal screw from the other side of the battery box. Removed the hose and had hydraulic hose dealer make up exact hose. I think it was $60. Make sure you pre-fill if possible and cycle the slides several times to bleed the air.

Sounds like a similar type of problem. In my case I will have top drop the underside cover to get access to where the hose connects to the slide. If I can find a hose repair shop that can do a site repair then all I have to do is drop the front section of the underside cover. Thanks for your input.
