Folding Door Hand Rail

Hello all...long time since my last question/problem...lol....Well I broke my hand rail the other day. Actually just the plastic parts. Does anyone know how to get a couple of the plastic ends that screw into the rig? The handle is fine it is just the plastic part. Does anyone know what type they are? I have a 2012 38FL

If I get a different one the holes don't line up....I'd hate to try and drill new holes! The rear door one is fine. I would like them to match....any ideas or am I stuck buying a whole new handle?

Here are a couple of photos...

Thanks as always!

Dave

It is a Stromberg Carlson grab assist handle. I believe they only sell complete units. Make sure to use butyl putty behind the screws when installing the new one. You don't need the glass wall to delam.

I bought a direct replacement from amazon after ripping mine off. The yellow pipe I hit was well camouflaged.

Stromberg Carlson AM-800 Black Lend-A-Hand Foam Grip $33.58

Part Number: AM-800

Ours broke too when it pulled away from the wall...

Wish I could say I hit something, but it was just me grabbing it as I went out the door and being TWICE the man I used to be .....

the replacement fit in the same holes, I just used bigger screws to hold it in this time...

You don't need an excuse to replace, other than they look like hell after couple years and only cost $30+.
OK to use bigger screws - but not longer screws. Don't ask how I know this...

Thanks Guys....I will get the Stromberg Carlson.....BTW....it made feel good to know that I am not the only one who has had a mishap! So here is my story....I pull out of our yard with the steps down! It clips my gate pole and bends them. So my neighbor and I bend them back in place....they were still off a bit...so while my wife was watching (who was not very happy with me...lol), I jumped on the step to show her it is fixed...started to fall and ripped the handle off! You can imagine how that went over.....lets say a lot of beer was consumed that evening.....

2017 Handles

Does anyone know if Redwood still uses the Stromberg Carlson in 2017? With the new LCI steps i would like to replace the handle with the new SC AM533 that comes out 10" further and drops down 13.5" further.
