Hmmm.........it looks like I started quite a dialog on this subject, but, all good thoughts. I don't know if it is worth trying to implement a real fix for this issue unless the factory is willing to take it on and do it sometime out of season and under warranty. Rather, when I ran into this problem while filling the tank for the first time, it took approximately 22 mintues to fill before it started siphoning out the water. I think the next time I try this, I will fill for only 18 minutes. I don't plan to carry a full tank of water very far......just to a nearby state park that doesn't have water hook-up.

I would think that they could do something simple like put in a mechanical siphon break on that vent line so it wouldn't siphon water.

To answer your question the fresh water tank is 104 gallons, 45 gallons for each of the other tanks, 2 grays and 1 black tank.

Why can't REDWOOD test their systems? We got a REDWOOD 36 FL, THE PROBLEM is buyers can't get the checklist that the final inspectors complete. The real problem is that the DEALERS don't furnish a buyers checklist of what to make sure everything is working.
Plumbing doesn't work, wall plugs not working, batteries not charging. Grey water takes not plumbed for customer control.
ONCE AGAIN, BUYERS NEED A CHECKLIST to verify all systems WORK. RV sellers do not care if the customers are in 3rd place, After the money.

I've developed a pre-delivery checklist, which is based on our 36FL. If you want a copy drop me a PM with an email address.
