Front Door Lock

Anyone know the manufacturer of this lock? 2015 38GK.
The bottom lock does not work. The dead bolt moves freely and I am afraid if I have to slam the door, the dead bolt will close me out.

Ron
It is a Bauer.
Does it work with the key pad does the key work
what seems to be the problem.
They need new fresh batteris to operate the key pad. Also if the screws holding it in place are loose it will cause the deadbolt to get out of alignment

The inside knob used to lock the door is in the lock position and will not move. The dead bolt moves freely in and out of the lock position (by hand). The key seems to turn freely left & right but does not move the dead bolt.

Ron,

Bauer is great to work with, they will send you a replacement lock assembly at no change and no hassle.

When we needed a replacement lock assembly from them, we got it in just a couple of days.

Bauer is sending me a new lock but in the meantime the dead bolt slide into place locking my wife inside and me outside. Called Bauer. entry destroys lock but it let me in.
Insert a screwdriver in the lower dead bolt lock, hit the screwdriver hard with a hammer several times, then twist the screwdriver.
Opens like a charm.

I bet he taped it to a chair and tied a string between the trigger and door handle? That way you can both get some sleep.

If a person wants to get into a place bad enough, they will. Just need to ensure you have something special waiting for them.

It's difficult to imagine that I lived in a time when we never locked the doors to our home...in the summer time all we used was the screen door and that was just to keep insects out. Vehicles were never locked...most of the time the keys were left in the ignition. How times have changed!
