Call Tiara RV. The whole reason they set that up through them was because the factory isn't really set up as a parts outlet and also there was/is some sales tax and use issues. I've dealt with Tiara a few times and it has always been fast service and the stuff was right the first time. Think others have had the same experience.

I had a little different experience with Tiara the other day. They had no clue what part I was looking for and suggested I call Lippert which I had already done and they couldn't tell me what the part was specific to my fifth wheel. The part I was looking for was the adjustable bracket at the end of the passive ram on the kitchen slide. The Lippert tech told me on coaches the size of Redwood they usually use a 2and1/2 inch inner ram but they only provide what the manufacturer asks for. Mine measures 2", so is this another case of save money to get it sold?

lemon laws apply to rv's if not they should qc would be better.

As much as these things cost warranty/Dealer repairs are more than frustrating.

my next RV I am going to buy a cheaper line RV. That way I will get what I pay for and no disappointments. Ironic, but I also own a cheaper bumper tow RV I use for the deer lease and fishing camp. I never have any issues with that RV. Or at least what issues I have had did not surprise me. I baby my Redwood. My other cheaper one? I have abused it. I tow it down rough dirt roads. Park it in horrible places. And it just keeps on keeping on. And best of all I don't deal with no Stealerships with it. I call a mobile repair man for anything I cannot handle. Now I feel better that I have shared that wisdom with all of my friends. LOL!!

I think you might be on the right track....

I had someone a few years ago in the RV business who said that he had worked for most of the upper end units over the years and his advice was to buy a cheep unit and rebuild it the correct way. This way you knew what you had and you removed all short cuts.

It's frustrating buying a nice unit, then immediately having to upgrade wheels, tires, suspension components, brakes, etc, etc. You guys may be right. Seems we have to re-build anyway. This was our first 5th wheel after owning three bumper pulls...thought we knew RV's. Boy, did we ever miss the mark. Definitely would do it differently next time!

I followed a website a few years ago where a guy got fed up and built his own 5th wheel. It turned out looking pretty good and has crossed my mind a few times.

I've also seen where people have bought shells (bus and trailers) from companies and built the RVs the way they wanted.

OK, not to upset anyone, but if you followed some of the other forums in addition to this one, you would know to order a unit with the available upgrade options, tires, wheels, disc brakes, heavier suspension, etc.
We did and haven't any of those types of issues. Even when we ordered our 2012 36RL I knew I wanted the 'G' tires and disc brakes, haveing gone thru those upgrades to our Montana and following their forum.

And unless you did as M&A did & get the upgrades you will get the same problems in about a dozen other makes & models that all use the same equipment.

Last week the entry door assembly, inside and outside bedroom slide seals, 1 recliner and fraying carpet on the right side slide were fixed.
Service writer was telling me how impressed with the new door I would be and how nice it turned out. They did do a great job but I took all wind out his sails when I pointed out the new door was ALREADY separating along the hinge side. Had them remove one of the hinges on the top and bottom so it would slow the separating. He said he would call RW and tell them they still have an issue with the doors.
RW told him they do NOT have a door problem. HA…

I told him they did a good job but I do not consider this issue resolved and I hope he tells RW.

Update

Well it's time for an update to the damn door problems (that Redwood says don't exist). I had the original door replaced in 2016 and all seemed right.

It's 208 now and it seems during the summer heat (Texas) the door swells and won't open properly. It's to the point, we don't lock the door and can't really shut it all the way when we leave for fear we'll never get it open.

Anyone else with a similar problem? Any suggested solutions?

Maybe we just need to bring a bag of ice with us each time we come home.
