</span>Looking to get a few things together to have on hand before my rig arrives (which is STILL sitting at the factory waiting for a driver) what I need to find out is what the size of the socket I need for the lug nuts on the G614's and what is the requiredtorque? Thanks
Dan

The lug wrench is 3/4" and the torque is 95 ft/lbs.

Mike, where did you get the 95 ft/lbs?? The lugs on our Montana were torqued at 110 to 120 Ft/Lbs with the Alloy Wheels, they were 1/2 studs

Mike,
for what it's worth. the owners guide says 110-120 ft/lbs, but doesn't say if there is a differance between the g-tires or disk brake system. anyone have the owners manuel on the disk brake system.

It will depend if the Disc Brakes use the same size studs. When we upgraded to the MorRyde IS and Disc Brakes on our Montana the Dexter Disc hubs had 9/16 Studs vs the OEM 1/2 Studs. The 9/16 studs take a higher torque. As for manual, don't think I received one for the Disc Brakes, but I'll have to go out a double check, but manuals were very lacking. Might be worth a note to Lippert to see what they have to say.

I had to ask the dealer's tech when they balanced my tires - since there were no chassis manuals to be found (shocker).

Does the G614's take a different rim than the Marathons does? Both are 16" rims.

Louis, yep the Marathons are on rims only rated to 80 PSI, while the 614s come on wheels rated for 110 PSI. Can only assume that 80 PSI rims must be a few cents cheaper than the 110 PSI rims. I will have to say that our 2010 Montana that came with Marathons at least had 110 PSI rims, so when we upgraded only had to get tires.

Do you know what brand of rims they are for the G614, I'm going to have to change regardless if I go Good Year or Michelin. I'm looking around and the tire dealers are puzzled about the rims. Can you even order them from Redwood?

Agree. Here is a link to the 17.5 alloy wheel styles
http://www.trailertiresandwheels.com...Trailer-Wheels
Watch out for offset! A positive offset sets the wheel further in if I remember right. Tredit wheel should know what the current offset is for the Redwood wheels and it should match. They are probably 0, but wouldn't hurt to verify. All of trailer tire and wheel wheels are Hi-Spec.

Buddy you will love them I have about 3500 miles on mine I like how they don't roll over when backing into small spots, Scott told me he has customers with over 80,000 miles on them! I look at the G's and they seem to throw the tread a lot after 30,000 miles. It should be against the law to put E rated tires on these trailer even the ones made in the US have Belt breakage I had three in one year on a 1000 pound lighter trailer and at 10,000 miles they were almost worn down to half tread.

Scott said he had the Michelins as well, same rating and price, they are made in Germany verses the G614's are made here. Got to keep it American when quality is there.

Ya, what's even worse is the standard tire is a ST LRE tire. Doesn't matter what the name is on the sidewall, it's made in China. Edited by: atom ant

Goodyear was forced into pulling the Marathon production back to the states the china tires were costing them way to much with all the failures, Also if I remember right the michelins are speed raided at 60 mph
