I guess you've already contacted the factory and arranged your commission for each Redwood you sell at the Montana Rally

Not yet, I have the new wet bolt kit but we were at the Montana Rally last week and had a minor flood as a result of the Washer flexible drain hose under the bed getting caught and disconnected. So have been trying to get that back together and modified to prevent future problems, presently waiting for a new hose as old one is now crushed in several places. Then rain for several days making working under the rig kind of soggy (we're in the country with no pavement to be parked on). Next week is clear with no plans, so hope to work on the wet bolts/grease zerk problem.

I realize that this is "off topic", but I investigated the issue you are having on my RL last weekend. I can only see that huge grey hose if I shinea flashlightunder the bedroom slide from the hallway. I don't see how it can be accessed torepair. After youremove the mattress and "boxspring", is there a plywood base that can be removed to provide access?

All you have to do is pull the under bed drawer off it's slide rails. There is a panel under the drawer that covers the hose, but you can see each end and where it connects to the black pipe.
At a bear minimum I would try and tighten both Jam Nuts, their were only finger tight on ours and the flexible hose could be pulled out quite easily. I'm in the process of redesigning ours to allow the hose more free play to slide in and out with the bedroom slide.
For more info refer to my post on "First Major Issue"Edited by: mhs4771

Here another dumb questions. Exactly how much grease should one put into the zert? I have heard if you put too much in, it blows out the seal.

On my Montana, with the wet bolt kit, I only give it two pumps of grease about every 3000 miles. Haven't had a problem yet? I use one of those small grease guns so two pumps is not much grease.

You only have to worry about seals when greasing the axles. With the wet bolts the grease will just come out the other end. Too much will make a mess tho.

mhs4771 is correct. I had a brain problem. I was talking about greasing the axles. Don't why I said anything about the wetbolt kit????

How often do you grease the bearings?

My understanding is the trailer wheel bearings should be greasde every 25,000 miles. I would be interested in other opinions.
