hahaha - that somehow ended in a frying pan or rolling pin and an ambulance
I installed one of these years ago, even on my last RV, and how I keep forgetting to open that thing is beyond me. Wife was standing in water in the shower yelling at me the tank was full. I checked the gray tank valve and saw it was open and almost started tearing plumbing apart to see what was plugged up, only to have my daughter tell me this valve was closed :

This is a dumb question.....In my area where the valves are. One valve says grey 1 and the other says grey 2. Which is galley and which is the shower/ bath sink?

You will have to experiment with each one to see what water actually goes into which tank. It seems there has been quite a few different setups with the Redwoods. Not sure there is any consistency on any model.

Mine are labeled: Galley and Grey
But just a word of caution for MB owners, that extra valve trick won't work, as the Galley tank is in the belly directly below the counter, while the Gray is in the Dropped Frame section next to the Black tank. Thus if you close off the main discharge and open the Galley and Grey valves, the Galley tank will fill the Grey.

I guess they could change from year to year but on my 36RL (2012) I think it was the valve on the left that did the bathroom. The shower, bathroom sink and washer all drained into the same tank. The kitchen drain into the other tank.
There should be a plumbing schematic in the archives of this forum somewhere that I had posted for the 36RL.

The pull handles on mine are labeled galley/gray, but the inside tank sensors are labeled gray 1& 2.

Ours are labeled the same way. Would've been really nice if Redwood would've labeled the same way, duh!!!!

I never pay attention to the sensors, they haven't worked since the first fill, same way on 2 previous SOBs. It's not worth the work to me to replace them with something that might actually work.

I have a 13 38gk. My lables are the same inside and out. However I have a question. It seems that if I pull either the Grey or galley valve it seems like I only have one tank for both. When I close one valve and open the other, nothing comes out. One tank or two?

On my GK, the top grey valve is for the tank that goes to the shower and kitchen sink.
The second one, like yours, never fills because it is for the bedroom sink and a washer that I do not have.
I am not sure where the bathroom sink goes.
The tank for the shower and kitchen fills up almost every day so now I just leave that valve open.

Bargeman, thanks for the info. Now I will have to test to see if both drain the kitchen/shower. If not then that would make sense now. Tom
