Hair Dryer

What wattage hair dryer can I get for the DW so we quit popping circuit breakers? Looks like all breakers are 15 watt except for dishwasher and clothes dryer.

What kind of hair dryer are you using now? You shouldn't be popping breakers. I would check for other loads while the hair dryer is running. Is the coffee pot running at the same time?

My wife uses a blower and curling iron at the same time all the time in the bedroom by the mirror. We have yet to blow a fuse although I've been looking for it to happen.

Are you using the GFI plug in the bathroom. A hair dryer in good condition shouldn't blow a 15 amp breaker. A 1500 watt hair dryer should still pull under 15 amps. I would try it in an outlet on a different circuit and see if it works. I would say either a bad dryer, outlet, or circuit breaker.

No fireplace its 97 degrees, no microwave, hair dryer is 1875 watts. Going to find a lower amp dryer.

Thanks for the info guys.

Wow - that's a hot hair dryer! I thought they were always 1500 watt. I don't have enough hair to use one, so maybe I'm behind the times

Yes it is Atom, I think that's why it is popping the breaker.
