Has anyone installed a 110 outlet in the closet?

We keep our wireless printer on one of the shelves in the front closet. We currently need to run an extension cord into the closet from the bedroom. There is an outlet on the ceiling in the bedroom that I could run it from, but I don't know what I might run into above the ceiling. Anyone know?

I think I would much rather try it from underneath.

My unit has an outlet in the ceiling about 6-inches from the closet over the front cabinet. Being so close to the closet, it seemed like a good place to work from.

OH I know what you are talking about now! Ya we have that one too and use it for the Dish receiver and blue ray. Certainly would be easy to pull from that one and then down the wall inside the closet with some wiremold or something.
