Heat pump issues

Well today was a warm day so I de-winterized the Redwood, changed the oil in the Beast and the fuel filter.

In checking over everything on the Redwood, everything is good but the heat pump wont turn on (the gas furnace just comes on instead). Not long ago someone else had that issue and I don't remember who. Can someone tell me what the solution was?

I am sure you know this but did you set the temperature to more than 5 degrees above room temperature.

Sorry I was not very clear If you set the thermostat to more than 5 degrees above room temperature it will automatically default to the gas furnace. Thermostat things the heat pumps are not keeping up with the temperature request.... Ian

Once I give the old girl a good scrubbing, she'll be ready to hit the road.

If we don't hear from Dave for a while, means he was speaking of Ginny and he's recovering in the hospital.
