HELP! Kinro Emerg. Exit Window Came OFF!

It's us, the Charlie Brown crew again.

SO, getting ready to go on a trip. Have to take our 18' awning that fell off WITH US so they can put it back on at our first service appt. Thought we would simply load it into the RV through the Emerg. exit window at the rear. First attempt: NOT! Because our emerg. window is behind THE LADDER so only a verrrrry skinny child could actually open it wide enough to get through <sigh>

Second attempt drivers side rear window emerg. exit. Opened it, swung it up wide enough to put the awning through into the coach... and it came off the hinge at the top. Now we cannot get it back on and Todd is FREAKING OUT

There must be some trick to getting it seated again.

Any advice? Thanks... <getting a beer>

Those are designed to come out of the hinge!

Made me very nervous when I noticed that latch was broke on my rear window - glad it didn't sail out of the hinge on the road.

Yes, that's what we were afraid of. I thought we would be one of those people with a big piece of cardboard duct taped to our window :-( Thank GOD it went back in. It just wouldn't "catch" and swing like it was supposed to. Definitely a tricky move to get it in there!
