Yes.. The Honda 300is is a great unit but it will only handle one a/c at a time. The a/c takes most of its power at start up so once it's on you'll be able to power most of the other things like the microwave.
From what I see when running my Generator, I'm pulling 21amps with one unit and 34.5amps with 2 units, the inverter must be taking 8amps. The units pull around 13 amps each and like Dave said it is higher on start up. This was just the two units and inverter on.

With smaller generators I've always lessened the initial load by 'stepping up' the load from the ac... so it's not pulling max load all at once...
first turn on low fan only,
then turn on compressor,
then high fan after it settles...

Do you mean "converter", or are you also running an "inverter"?
