Hot water out of cold taps

Need some help please
2013 31 SL with nowhere near enough miles
First trip this year. Hot water is coming out of cold taps regardless of how long the tap is open
Confirmed the bypass valve is in the correct position and outside shower valves are closed. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I found the problem: the backcheck valve in the pipe leading to the cold water inlet of the HWT malfunctioned and was allowing hot water to back-feed the cold water side of the system

Yea, I also have a 2014 31 sl and have had the same issue a few times.

Note: There's three of those back flow valves. Two are in the water lines and one is located on top outlet of the hotwater tank (hard to reach). If (when) the one on the HW tank goes (piece of calcium debris) the by pass system will not work when winterizing. The HW tank will fill with the antifreeze from the back. tjs
