Happy Belated Thanksgiving to everybody. I have a question about hydraulic fluid. I bought a qt. of the Cat hydraulic fluid additive to hopefully cure the popping noise that other people have talked about. It is 53 degrees here in Indiana today and when I looked at my oil level it showed about a quart low. My question is should I go ahead and fill it to the top or wait until I get to Florida to top it off in case the fluid expands with the warmer tempratures. Thanks for any replies.
Did you check level with the coach hooked up to truck and all slides and jacks retracted ? That is the only time to check it.

Ditto, if you fill it while slides are out or jacks down, when you retract them you'll have a real mess in your battery compartment.

Yes I did and the fluid level was about a quart low
You must have a pretty good leak somewhere for it to be that low! Never added more than a few tablespoons in 6+ years we had ours.

Back when we bought ours , October '16, we had problems with our kitchen side slide (38RL) occasionally deciding that it didn't want to work. in Sept. of '17 we took it to a dealer and was able to get it fixed which turned out to be a leaky hydraulic cylinder. Just wondering if they never refilled the tank. I know I should have checked the fluid level but from that point on I never had a problem with the slides or the leveling system and never noticed any leakage.

The dealer not filling the fluid sounds plausible for sure ! = dealers
