EVERYONE knows that the crushed ice from Sonic goes best with Bourbon !!!

Not for us... but we DO store everything in the fridge to make it all cold to start !
Even the smaller glasses we use to get the proper mix!
And I guess that depends on how long you take to drink it 
And how hot it is where you are - heyer in the deep sowth we take every chance we can to get iced down!

For the good stuff we use Whiskey Stones and keep them in the freezer. Why dilute a fine beverage just to make it refreshingly cold

Why chug fine bourbon, I want to enjoy it over time...sometimes with a good cigar!!
I like the idea of bourbon ice cubes, will our Norcold get cold enough to freeze bourbon?

Hope not! I leave it in the trailer over the winter....and it gets cold enough here the Norcold actually has to heat the food if we left it on.

Ok, I turned off the valve under the sink that goes to the ice maker. I unhooked it from the solenoid outside, and also on the "out" side of the valve inside. I drained, and blew out that line, then re-hooked both sides, leaving the valve closed. The other side of the solenoid looks to be heat traced. So, if I leave the valve off under the sink, am I good? Also, I notice there is a lot of heat coming from what looks like a evaporator tank outside, in the fridge area, above the solenoid. Would that heat, coupled with cutting and putting some of the insulation board between that tank, and the outside door work to be able to use the ice maker all winter, instead? Or, is it necessary to not block the airflow in that outside area?

The best ice for bourbon is a round ice ball about double the size of a golf ball. It works great in an "old fashion" whiskey glass. Lucky for me, I'm an ambassador for Makers Mark, and they sent a tray to make those ice balls a couple of years ago, as a Christmas present, along with a bourbon bottle "santa cap". You might be able to to order one of those ice ball trays from their website. Cold bourbon, very little dilution.

Bourbon will not freeze, even in your home refrigerator freezer.

Anybody know anything about my post from from above? Will what i did work for the winter as far as shutting the ice maker down? And, since there is quite a bit of heat out there, will my other option work to keep on making ice?

Should your water line for your ice maker freeze, I suggest you replace it with 1/4in DOT black air line it should survive the freezing, the water line should of originally been run under the floor to the slide and under the refrig out to the access panel, thereby not subjecting it to the outside air IMHO

All the pex water lines will withstand freezing. It's what they connect to that won't.
