Anyone have cost on changing out gas stove/oven for Induction?

At the factory on order, or after delivery?

To do a nice job, I think you would have to replace the counter top to overcome the panel system used for the gas range, and some wood fill below where the gas cooktop (or range) was. If you have the range, it would almost be worth just replacing that cabinet with the ones used for the flat cooktop to get the drawers.

Utility wise - I have no idea what they power those cooktops with, but that circuit would have to chase through the slide system from the panel to feed the new cooktops, and then you could remove the gas line that feeds through their, rather than abandon it.

Sounds like a chore way over my head! Thank goodness the DW loves her gas.

I had thought of doing the changeover and was given an estimate of $ 3400. Guess I'll stick with the ones I bought at Costco for $ 90.

How are the portable induction cook tops working for you? Do you have a specific brand you like? We may try one in the future, but looking for suggestions on preferences.

Oooo that's pretty! I now wish I would have ordered the induction cooktop as well. I have the gas cooktop. I use my little portable induction burner daily. It works great. It's the round one you see on TV all the time I cannot remember the name of it. I would much rather have the built in unit though obviously. But not for $3,400!

By the way mine did not come that way it's a 2013 I ripped it all apart I even matched the wood got the new counter top from the place that makes them for Redwood
The only thing is that if your cooking and need to boil a big pot of water I break out my stand a loan induction unit because the way the built in dual shares power it just don't cut it but for cooking using both its ok

At the rally last year we took a seminar given by Lady E (Cooper) and she demonstrated a portable induction cooktop manufactured by Burton. We purchased the model 6200 from Amazon and have been very happy with it. So much so all the time in AZ last winter we never used the gas range/oven one time. We have an induction range at home, so we already had all the proper cookware to use on it. She sold us and I'm very happy.

We have the portable NuWav. Love it, but it won't work on anything less than 50 AMP. I can cook anywhere with the propane. MH

How did you find out where Redwood gets the countertops? I would also like to match cabinets and have a storage cabinet beneath induction cooktop, so how would I go about getting cabinet to match? Thanks for info!

We use two portable ones by Fager. We got them from Camping World. Have not used gas in a long time. If we upgrade coaches next year they will be a must have.

Marilyn, ours are the NuWave also & we are currently hooked to 30 amp & can run both cookers, that's strange as we have the same coach.

Danny & Linda,
I'll have to try the NuWav again on the 30 amp. Maybe it was something I did or the outlet.
Thanks for your input.
