My batteries went dead on the Baur key pad. I changed the batteries and it wouldn't take a code. the default code worked but it couldn't be programmed. I called Bauer and they said they are sending me a new one. We wont be home for 2 weeks, So just now I pulled the batteries and let it sit for a few minutes. I put the batteries back in and it took the program the first time I tried. Remember even when you cant program it the factory default code always works. Seems like a dumb thing as I could get into any bauer lock knowing the default code but thats the way it goes.
