We have been in our 2012 RE for a little over a week now. The only little problems we have found are staples not secure in the floor under the carpet, the shower had a leak at the bottom of the door hinge letting water out of the shower and the tv/sat cable inlet/outlets are not marked and/or wired user friendly. Overall, our coach is a dream. We feel like we are still at a RV show as everyone who comes in just falls in love with it.

We picked our 36RL about three weeks ago and are finding that all the major moving parts work just as they are supposed to. A nice surprise! The 'little things' that have turned up include some of the wood or plastic wood trim has been broken around the slides, the bathroom sliding door lock was damaged in shipment, a minor kink in the carpet under the dining table, the speed control on the Maxxair fan in the bathroom doesn't work and the vacuum hose doesn't activate the vacuum cleaner when plugged in. Our dealer installed the satellite dish and worked out all the wiring issues. I think the Winegard folks should work with the factory to insure the wires are properly marked for their newer products and eliminate the painful dish installation. Overall, we're happy as pie and looking forward to a long and enjoyable relationship with our Redwood!
Here's hoping that things don't deteriorate as time goes on.

We also have the 36RL and so far have not had any big problems. We did have a leak in the bedroom between the closet and the bed, but got the okay to have our mobile repairman come and look at it. A wire outside the slide was not installed right and the water was coming in from a hole.
The only other thing was a leak under the kitchen sink, but after we tightened the connections and wrapped some tape around it, all is well.
We got our 36RL the end of November and have been living in it ever since. The only thing we're hoping we won't have trouble with is the leveling system, but we'll find out in May when we take it out on vacation. Would like to get everything working well cause we'll be retiring the end of August and leaving for a cross-country trip to Indiana, then wintering in Casa Grande, AZ. Finally, retirement and freedom!!
Has anyone tried to hookup the surround sound to the regular TV so you can have surround sound all the time on the tv as well as with music. Not sure how it's done, but I'm sure there must be a way of doing it. Just curious if anyone has attempted that yet.

We have not tried the surround sound to the TV on this unit. We have tried it in the previous to no avail. The owner's manual (if you have one - but that is another story.lol) makes it sound easy to do, but?????? We have contacted RW about missing manuals but have not heard back from them.

I played a DVD in the Blueray a few weeks ago and set the output setting on it and the surround sound worked fine from the factory. Sorry I do not remember the exact settings. I will try it this weekend and send out the recipe.

Anyone experience a squeeling noise when you operate the hydrolic slides for the kitchen an living areas on their unit? It's not binding anywhere just noisy.I waswondering how and where to lubricate the noise makers to make the operation a bit quieter. We have the 36RL.

Sounds like the rubber weather strips need to be cleaned and lubed.

Good thought. I'll take a look at that. The sound is more of a metal to metal noise andstarts when the hydrolics are activated even before the slides begin to move. Maybe since the unit is new it will diminish as time goes on.

We picked up our new coach 36FL about 3 weeks ago. Only minor issues regarding paint and cabinetry, and one major issue, the factory forgot to install the dishwasher! Our dealer, LazyDays, executed all repairs quickly and the work was outstanding. Our dealer installed a Winegard slimline sattellite and wired it so we can have 4 TVs running at the same time with different stations on each (great for the football parties). We glued a handtowel holder and a washcloth holder to the shower wall (opposing each other on each side of the wall and that hides the glue area) and that worked well. We also installed an under counter coffee maker (black and decker). After we arrived home I spent a day washing and waxing the coach. I will not do that again too soon as I found a detail service that will do that chore for a reasonable price. I also found LED replacement bulbs on line for 12.98 each. We replaced all bulbs in the kitchen and will phase in remaining bulbs within 6 months. We are scheduled to go cross country from June to August as soon as our Grand Children are out of school.

COLJDM...I'm glad you're happy with your coach, I get mine 2 weeks from today and can hardly wait. What issue did you have with the paint?

Hey all, just an update on some issues we are still trying to get fixed through Explore USA, Ft Worth, TX. First, the key pad: the original key pad unlock button was broke, the new one sent to the dealer would not reprogram for the service techs, so the Lock Company was going to send another one with a key fob for our trouble and when the dealer received them, they called me, I drove 85 miles to pick it up and check on the 55" tv bracket only to find out that they had used the key pad on a new unit that was being delivered and I found out from Brian Emmons that the dealer had not even ordered the tv bracket. They acted like it was no big deal. Brian was very upset and is doing everything he can to help me find a closer dealer (Crossroads dealer) and resend all the parts there and was having a discussion with upper management about the poor customer service Explore is doing. RW is doing what they can to possibly include getting a mobile repair service to do the warranty work. Brian is so busy and yet stays abreast of my issues.
