Lot's of mfg's are coming back with ToyHaulers

This month's trailer life mag has lot's of them featured...
Here's a 46'er from drv (even has a bidet!)
While we like the idea, still not sold on them yet...

Very cool. I wonder why they still consider fiberglass batt insulation a better option than spray foam? Seems like for the money spray foam is superior and adds a lot of structural rigidity.

I'm sure you meant it would pull just fine with a 250/2500 Series Diesel stored in the garage the back, and a Kenworth pulling it

I was just referencing post seen on other forums, you know those post "It pulls just fine". Any of the newer Diesels will pull just about anything, BUT controlling it going down the road and stopping it is another matter.

Ya I got what you are saying and I was laughing. On the RV net, an F250 would be a go!

I just got back from East St Louis area where I was working today. It was windy beyond belief and I saw several transporters hauling some big trailers down I55 with Srw trucks. They were all over the highway with this wind.

With the backlog of transports, those guys must be pushing themselves over the limits!

I found pics of that online last night and the cargo capacity is ~4300 lbs. That equates to an empty weight of about 19,700. I wouldn't even try that with my truck.

That being said I do love these new Toyhaulers. If we ended up sticking with fulltiming I'd consider upgrading to this one (and a new truck unfortunately...).

To do that trailer would require at least an F450 to be safe.

I missed a good gag picture a while ago:

I parked my son's girl friend's Austin Mini under my Big Horn king pin. Unfortunately I didn't take a picture.

The caption would have read " With the right chip and air bags, this will pull this easily".
