Mattress

Not sure this is the correct thread to ask about suggestions on mattresses. We have a king mattress, and we've only had the unit a little over a year and haven't even used it much and on our second mattress. The second one was suppose to be a supreme but these things are terrible. Any suggestions?? Anyone ever try and put two twin mattresses in? Or any kind of topper for it memory foam or whatever. I wish they would come up with to separate beds (twins) instead of one bed, they are so hard to make the bed.. I am open for any suggestions. please and thank you.

We purchased a queen size Sleep Number R5 that we are very pleased with. I ended up cutting the plywood platform to accomodate a queen size and the radial corners. We now can make the bed easily. Very comfortable and adjustable for each sleeper. You can buy them at Camping World for about 800-900 bucks.

Queen isn't really going to fix it. My husband is a big guy 6'2", for making the bed but not sleeping together in a queen its a little small

We've been using a King Sleep Number in our units since 2010.
When we've traded units, the Sleep Number was the first thing moved from old to new.
This past summer we bought the newest Sleep Number for the RW and moved the old one in our Summer home.

King and queen standard sizes are the same length...80 inches, only difference is the width 60" for a queen, 76" for a King. but if the width is too small, sounds like making the bed will be a challenge.

How much of a difference is there from the newest upgrade from the older one? We purchased the current mattress in 2011. Wondering if the upgrade is worth it or not.

We went with the R5, overall thickness it a little bigger and has a thicker topper. We went with the Radius corners same as our old one just because I already had the plate form radius.
And while you are correct about the 80" length, the width is 72" for the King on the RV version.

replaced ours with a nice memory foam mattress the day after we got the RW. Mattress that came with unit was garbage. We bought a Temper pedic King and it fit perfectly

Yea, copy that. Gave the quote on standard size Queen, didn't know what size the RV King was. RV versions are different for sure. I was trying to find a compatible mattress topper for the R5 that took into account the radial corners, have not found one yet. Still a good mattress, just be nice to take advantage of the cooling gel technology that is out now!

Thanks for the input, I noticed that your bedroom looks the same as mine, I have the same model except for the wet bar. What kind of mods have you done so far?
