Morryde IS suspension upgrade

Looking to upgrade our 2014 38gk to the Morryde IS system. We are looking to upgrade to the 8000lb axels with disc brakes. Our RV has disc brakes on it now and was wondering if we need to make any changes to the existing braking system. Any help or thoughts would be most appreciated.

Thanks Jason & Lisa

MORryde should be able to switch your current Disk Brakes over without having to replace them. They might ask if it's OK to re-route the brakes lines like they did to us on our '12 36RL. They didn't like the routing the Factory did.

Same thing happened with our coach. We already had discs installed by Performance Trailer Braking and MorRyde did reroute brake lines. But the installation proceeded normally.

Like the 2 above me posted..

They will ask if they can re route ( usually better ) the existing brake lines.. W\I had Performance Trailer Braking supply my Disc System and install back when Ron was the owner......

Morryde was happy to do it

We had the 7K factory axles with the Performance Trailer disk Brakes. MorRyde had to change the caliper bracket when we had the 8K IS installed.

this is 100% correct , the axle stubs are industry standard size on the morryde IS. They will change the place where the T block is located, and they may want to change the flex hoses on all the wheels. At this point they have done hundreds of Redwood trailer so it will be back in the shop and off the comes the old stuff in the first day and the second day the new stuff will go in. I think your maybe two days but it just depends on how much trouble the brake hoses and lines are.

In my opinion it's the second most expensive upgrade I have done, and I would do it again without a question! 8K IS and Hensley BD5 air ride hitch with a morryde pinbox really makes a big difference in the cab of truck. Also in the camper, We leave the coffee maker and toaster on the counter (it never moves). Assuming you already have 17.5" tires and wheels ? If not you may want to .

The most expensive upgrade is the Victron inverter and solar upgrade , I will let you know at the end of the summer if that is worth the effort and money.
