New RV Olympics

I'm sitting here in my warm comfortable house drinking my beverage of choice and watching the winter Olympics (I have to share the TV with lovely Ginny). I just watched the Jamaican Bobsled run and I just had to ask myself........is much of a need for Bobsledders in Jamaica? Why not have events in the Olympics that are somewhat useful after the Olympics?

To my point.....they should have RV Olympic events. Just think of the neat events they could have and be judged on. Also all of these events could be used later in life.
*speed hooking,
*dumping the tanks without spilling a drop
*backing the rig
*passing on 2 lane highway (while wife is awake)
*weaving through Atlanta during rush hour(obscenities would be a deduction)
*setting up camp in the rain and complete darkness

We could also have:
*Getting out of bed in the middle of the night to switch propane tanks and falling back asleep the quickest
*Aligning the dish for a signal

What else?

Sure.....we could also add a couples event. One person directing the other person blind backing into a tight camping spot. We could have Dr. Phil on stand by just in case.

Too funny! How about speed packing up a rig for a 1 month trip. And a Dave special - timed washing and waxing a rig with a 6 foot ladder.

We could put wheels on the ladder and have someone pushing while we're waxing. Each lap around the rig you move up a step on the ladder. ......wew! already getting dizzy

How about we simulate 18 wheelers passing our rig on the highway while we see who can change a flat tire the fastest!

And we could have Drag races to see how fast you can get up to 60 while towing!

Sounds like fun, but from what I read on this forum, any event involving speed we would need a head start over Dave.

Great Dave, that beverage is really a great thought stimulus. With your contacts have you thought about a reality show. Maybe have Honey Boo Boo and family travel around the country in a souped up Scotty pulled by a dump truck. Just a thought.

Jay,

I think you overestimate my abilities...but that does sound fun.

Dave. I know your can do it. You don't want to miss the boat Simon. Your gift will give this industry a boost that it really needs. "Robin Williams shows you how to camp in an RV!" Just a thought.

How about driving down a 2 lane icy 6 degree downslope without crashing (similar to slalom ski course). Fastest time gets "GOLD".
