New Sound System
The Redwood Parks Package on our 2014 Retail Price Sheet lists an LG FM/AM/CD/DVD home theater system with 5.1 surround sound and subwoofer. Our 2015 38GK we saw today for the 1st time did not have that and I thought, "What the heck....?"
What it DOES have is an LG BluRay CD/DVD player with a SOUNDBAR and does it ever rock. No speakers in the ceiling, just the bar under the TV but it has incredible sound. I rocked it loud enough to get kicked out of any campground. Good job Redwood on this major improvement.

That sounds great! I prefer the sound bars - and am actually thinking of putting a small one on the outside TV and bedroom.

Rock ON Baby Boomers !
Amazing the number of running changes they make on their line! We got ours delivered just before they changed the 55" LED tv out
I had to go with a wireless sound bar system at home since 'she who must be obeyed' said no wires at all and while not up to full 5:1 or 7:1, it's pretty good !
I had added a small sound bar in the bedroom of our previous SOB, but didn't move it to the RW since there really wasn't a good place for it...
Instead, I got two pair of good rechargeable wireless headphones since I like to hear movies !

JBT, showing my ignorance here but I've seen many references to SOB. Can't figure that out, what is SOB? What kind of headsets did you get?

I talked to my local sales rep yesterday. They had a all day sales class from the Rocky Mountain RW sales rep (Dan). Here are some of the running changes on the RW for the rest of the year;
1. Switching to Whirlpool 22 cu frig to fit better and not have to make island short with ice and water in door. I don't think it would be a bottom freezer model.
2. Standard 2 year bumper to bumper warranty on everything.
3. Optional 12 volt heat pads on tanks.
4. New brake actuator ( works better with magnet and disc.) I guess the old actuator had issues.
5. Full body paint only.
6. They will still offer 8,000 axles but discouraged because of rough, stiff ride.
7. Dropping all 36 series RW's and keeping 31's for customers wanting something a little smaller.
Dan told the sales teem that RW is coming out with a Sequoia line of RV's that will be a lower line under RW and will be working hard to launch that line.
That's all the Windish RV sales rep related to me.

S&L which refrigerator did you get? I always suspected that they would do away with one of the models either 36 or 38. They are so similar. Almost redundant.

Glad to hear of many of these changes, I guess Jim Lazzarino was right when he told me @ the Tampa show in January of his thoughts on changes to come... he told me about the full body paint, the Sequoia and the 8K axles, Hilton [SE Rep] said something about the Residential fridge when I told him I didn't like the shortened island. The rest was news I hadn't heard.
Dropping the 36' coaches...there is a 38RE & 38RL, the 36RE has already been dropped, it's now 38'. but the FB, I wonder if they will make a 38FB or just drop the line??

So does the addition of the sound bar reduce the tv size? Looking at ours, I don't see how I could fit my 42" with a sound bar. I'll that the ceiling mounted speakers and a bigger tv.

Wow! I can't believe that Redwood will only be offering one model under 40' in length. The 31sl is actually close to 35 feet but then the 38 models jump up to 41 feet plus. It would be nice if they offered at least one model in the 38' range. I thought the 34sk was a great floor plan but they discontinued it. I love my 31sl but if I decide to move up to a little larger fifth wheel I may have to look at other manufacturers.

Homeguy: Television is same. Soundbar is below tv, but above the pullout desk.

It looks like the same 42" but I actually didn't measure. I looked at a picture of the entertainment center I took in a 38GK at the RV Show and
I can't figure out what they changed to make room for the soundbar. When I took this at the PDI on Tuesday, I wasn't thinking about what had changed to make it fit or I would have included more of the cabinets.

you have much more room below the tv than we do. My tv is only about 3" above the desk, if that much.
