So we're going to Mor ryde in a couple weeks for 8k IS and disc brake upgrade. Wondering about having oil bath hubs with the setup. Anyone have any experience with with these, good or bad?

I ask Gary Wheeler (MORryde Sales Rep) at the Rally and he wouldn't recommend Oil Bath for RV use.

IF you where pulling the trailer daily then oil seals work But if your parking it for some time you would need to check and ADD oil every time you moved it. That's not a good idea for most owner , they have stainless center caps over the plastic oil hubs caps so you can do a visual check. My buddie has a PJ's heavy equipment trailer that is 2 years old , he has oil leaks on all the hubs now , add 2oz every wheel every time you pull it.

I would avoid oil bath. If you lose a grease cover like a lot of use have. You will burn up the bearings very quickly. With grease you have a lot more forgiveness if it happens.
