We had a sleep number RV queen in our past rig so we moved it into the Redwood. Selling dealer installed a plywood base for us.

Hmmm,
never considered that the rw king might be different from our previous king as our foam mattress is the same exact model in our master @ home and although a little overhang it works fine in the rw.

We absolutely love sleeping on the OEM bed. Honestly, one of the most comfortable beds we've ever had the pleasure to use.

We have slept on a sleep number bed since before we went full time. Had one in the house and shortly after moving into the RV had to get a RV queen. Moved that into our next unit, and since the Redwood has a king, had to get an RV king. Didn't make any changes to the base, just got rid of the original and replaced with the SN.

We've done the same. We like our Qsized Sleep Number with feathertop, and so asked the dealer to replace the slats with a platform. We'll swap mattresses as soon as I bring the RW home this weekend. Keep what works!

I had planned on taking the King mattress from the S&B into the coach, but when measuring found the RW mattress is 2" narrower than the S&B.

Two inches really doesn't matter except in SOME areas

Like others, we put 5/8" plywood down and installed a sleep number bed. Ours is a Queen. I didn't particularly like the OEM mattress especially the base. The OEM base is actually an RV Queen base, I'm 6'4" so it drove me nuts!

Same here. Foam topper and find it comfortable.

For you folks with the 2" topper, does the bedspread fall short of covering on the sides? Just got back today and the DW suddenly feels like getting our old RV 2" memory foam out of the basement. I think it is just because it is there, I'm trying to discourage it.

Brad,

We have a memory topper but don't use the Redwood spread, Ruth didn't really like the provided one so she bought a spread and pillows before we even took delivery.
We have a king, the spread, as well as the sheets are king and are a little larger than the bed.

Brad - we have the 2" foam topper, but got rid of the RW supplied bedspread the first day. Never use one at home either, just the quilt/duvet and it's cover. Lots of cover on the sides.

Same at home where the bed is 2" wider than the RV King.

OK thanks guys! Guess we will discuss today. We jumped through a lot of hoops and some money to get the bedspread we wanted that didn't actually come with our décor- not sure I want to give it up just yet.

I gathered all that info from everyone and RW changed the mattress. My GK came without the euro box springs and a cool foam type mattress. My wife loves it. To me it is pretty good. We've been living on it for 3 weeks.
