OTA tv with Winegard Connect 2.0

Just curious if anyone has experienced attempting getting OTA tv using the Winegard Connect. We have camped at the same campgrounds where using the Winegard amplified batwing on my previous fifth wheel got many more local channels than we are getting now. Talked to the customer service at Winegard and there response was it sits close to the roof and won’t get as good of reception as the elevated antenna. Seriously?? Is there a solution short of going to DISH. Disappointed that RW would use such a poor unit. Not all owners are full timers.

I have the new connect 2.0 on my "20" Redwood.. The antenna portion works as good or better than the batwing, as you do not have to rotates it to face the best direction.

There is a push button that needs to be pressed to turn it on.....
