I thought it was a great idea...I really like ours. I'm curious, was the complaint(s)?

You're right Dave....... For the cost of the led glitter ( inside & out) would have preferred bronze bushings instead of el cheepo plastic as an example.

I never understood the whining about the boom other than maybe the diameter of the tube was not large enough to accept the drain fittings. So, I modified the boom on my 2012 36RL with a slightly longer tube and a threaded adapter on the end which has a slightly larger diameter for the threaded cap. The extra tube length and adapter diameter allows me to store a 10 feet length of drain line without having to remove the bayonet fitting. It has worked well for me and in most cases, the 10 feet of drain is enough to connect to park sewer line.
So, it definitely seems like Redwood's cure for the boom was not well thought out by their engineers. They need to hire one of their 60, 65, 70 or 75 year old owners to test out some of their ideas before implementing into production.

I totally agree! If you are going to advertise an RV as "Baby Boomer friendly" than you need to have a baby boomer on staff somewhere that can give their opinion of some of these ideas.

I added a extension to our RW so that I did not have to get down on the ground to hook up the sewer hose. I was spoiled on the last MH it was all above Knee level and in a wet bay.
I thought about putting a trap at the end to stop any sewer smell from coming back in RW but in the winter I would have to wrap with heat tape and did not want to mess with that

No I think I said "not a single person on this forum YOUNGER than 54". Yet to maintain the batteries (which is a necessity) or dumping the tanks which is done often.....you have to crawl around on your hands and knees like a cheep ...... in a bar

I love my sewer boom once some of you told me how it works. The hose fits on it with some mods and it does it makes it easy.
