Redwood 4001LK Black Tank Flush

Hello All

As new owners of a 4001 LK I am curious to know how others deal with a single flush system with two black tanks. When using the tank flush on other rigs we only had one black tank. I would empty black tank start flushing when tank was near empty. Close gate valve for a couple of minutes, drain, repeat until tank runs clean (two or three times). With one flush system I am wondering how effective flushing doing both tanks at the same time. Thoughts and suggestions appreciated.

I also have a 4001LK and flush the same way you are describing but with both tanks simultaneously. Seems to work out great and after 2-years full time, we've not had any issues at all. I did just have to replace a cable on the #1 black tank and found it quite easy.

Thank for the information. We recently upgraded from a 35’ 3120RL Montana. It has been a wonderful experience so far. We spend five months of the year in our rig in the northern part of the lower peninsula of Michigan. So far we have found this Redwood forum a great source of information. Take care and have a great day.

Tall Fred.
