I showed the pic to my trucking dispatcher buddy this morning - he said "let me guess, blew over in Wyoming, Elk Mountain area maybe".

Transporter should have known better - the high winds have been all over the news. So sorry that happened.

Don't want to dwell on someone's misfortune, but...
Seems like a possible opportunity here. It's one thing for a trailer to go over and another thing for the tow vehicle. I'm wondering if it's possible to develop some kind of safety mechanism that allows for the release of the hitch once a certain amount of force exerts itself upon the jaws.

They told me the driver is ok.

As far as time goes, they said that maybe they can find a stock unit that is in line and install my options. I told them now that it is winter and it was just going in my hangar until spring anyway, just do what ever it takes to get a quality build no mater the timeframe.

The hard part is that once I placed the order, I became obsessed with it every day!! All of the truck accessories (hitch, tool box/fuel tank, trifold, airbags etc.) have all been installed. That has been keeping me occupied.

Now I will have to learn patience. I am not a natural at that...

bet the Drive wished he would have paid attention to the sign when it said High Winds and all Trailers should not go forward. That is not the first one to be lost in WY. I have gone out of my way to avoid that state when pulling our trailer.

Sorry You have to wait for a new trailer But I would not compromise on what you ordered with a in stock one.

Man I hear you there But really, its probably worth the wait for a new build. You get the latest of the greatest options that they change throughout the year. Ours was built in 6 weeks over this time of year. By May that had extended to over 12 weeks.

Larry......First of all good to hear driver is OK. Being somewhat patience challenged also, I can imagine how you are feeling.

This one was 10.

You are correct and I will wait. I ordered just about every option available (you can see my slide toppers in the pic)

Looks like an older Ram and it appears the driver had to kick the windshield out to exit the truck. I wonder what they do with a trailer once that happens????

The insurance company owns it (assuming it totals) and will get salvage for it.
